Ziggy’s take on Doggie Daycare
Finally, no more sittin’ around all day waiting for my hoomans to come home! Now, I get dropped off at my favorite indoor dog park to play with my friends ALL DAY! It’s the best, seriously. They have two parks, one for big dogs and one for small dogs with toys, play-scapes (made just for doggies), ball pits, see-saws, tunnels, rope swings, fresh water and snacks, and a bed to lounge on when I need to take a break. Did I say how much I love this place? They also have these awesome chill-out rooms when I just need a break from socializing and butt-sniffing, or I get hungry and need a bowl of something good from the kitchen.
Did you know that I get super anxious and scared when you’re gone for more than 5 minutes? I know, I know, it seems needy but I’m a people person. Wait, dog, I’m a people dog. So, dropping me off at ROC Dog Lounge while you go to work or run errands is very important to my mental enrichment and physical well-being. Amiright? At the Lounge I also get lots of snuggles and playtime with these hoomans called, Rufferees. They are in the park with me the whole time, throwing the ball, scratching my belly, cleaning up after me, and giving me treats when I do something cool (and man, are they easy to impress!). They love dogs and they are they experienced and are continuously trained in dog behavior. They also make sure that none of the other dogs misbehave and if they do they take them to a chill-out room to chill.
And, did you also know I could work on my social skills at doggie daycare? When I sit at home alone, I do nothing but wander around the house looking for you. Social skills for a dog are very important for you when you want to take me places, if I meet a cute dog – I know how to act right, and it builds my self-esteem so I can make new friends. When I am at the Roc Dog Lounge, I am running, playing, barking, exploring, sniffing, chasing my friends (they love that), fetching, jumping through hoops (literally), with lots of other dogs!!!!!!!!!
They have a few indoor dog park rules but they are all for my safety and well-being. All dogs have to be at least 4 months old and play friendly with other dogs and humans (no bullies allowed). Oh, and so none of us go home itchy all over, we all have to be flea and tick FREE. And this one is super important, we have to be current within the calendar year on all vaccinations including Bordetella, DHLPPC, and Rabies. You must be a member to join doggy day care.

GOT questions
How much?
Drop me off to play all day for $30!
How long can I stay?
All day!! Daycare is over at 6:00 but if your parents want to meet their friends for a drink and a bite, they can just let us know they have arrived and dogs can grab a bite in the chill out room or keep playing with their dog buddies till their owners are ready to go.
Who’s looking after me all day?
Our trained Rufferees will be in the park at all times to play with, pet and cuddle, clean up after, and make sure everyone is playing well together.
Are their areas for big dogs and little dogs?
Yes!! There are two separate, enclosed dog parks, one for big dogs and one for little dogs. If your dog is “a little dog but big on the inside type,” they can play with the big dogs too.
Can I get a bath while I’m there?
We are working on that so stay tuned!!
